Tanner's Twelve Swingers

Tanner's Twelve Swingers - Lawrence Block It's certainly an easily readable book. The plot flows well, with something always happening or about to happen. Evan Tanner is a unique character.

But I was disappointed a bit. Things got silly near the end. And though there was a lot happening, I never really felt connected to it emotionally. I guess I expected more from the guy who wrote Mona.

Anyway, I found this passage interesting, for a book that was first published in 1967:

"... the author made a rational yet impassioned plea for the dissolution of the state of Yugoslavia and the establishment of wholly independent republics of Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia, and Montenegro."
